Life Made Easy?

I usually have the same thing run through my mind: “This would be so much easier if….” or a variation of that, “if I only had more time I would…”

But there was I quote I used yesterday that said “Someone busier than you is out for a run.” It immediately makes me think about how many excuses I make for not having time or not getting something done.

I’m hoping I’m not the only one who thinks like this… So if you need some Make My Life Easier here are some tricks and fun ideas to help you out.

Lemonade Kool-Aid as Dishwasher Cleaner. Cleans lime deposits and iron stains inside the dishwasher by pouring a packet of lemonade Kool-Aid (the only flavor that works) into the detergent cup and running the (empty) dishwasher. The citric acid in the mix wipes out stains; you don’t have to.

Freezer Meals For Us is an incredible blog that has a library of make, freeze, bake meals. I know I have a hard time setting aside a day or evening to make these, but they are SO helpful to have on hand. These are all easy recipes that don’t take much time but will make an evening stress free.

If you are trying to cut back on the not so healthy things (mayo, and heavy cream I’m looking at you), Greek yogurt is here to rescue you. A slight tang just like sour cream but the yogurt is packed with good for you things. Sub whatever Greek yogurt you have and have a lighter, creamy dish.

Sprinkle a little on the shirt’s underarms and collar, then iron to prevent sweat stains on white shirts. The powder forms a barrier that keeps oil and grime from seeping into the threads. (Source: Real Simple… the A-Game folks of how to make life easier)

These are just a few random ideas to save a little time here and there, but hopefully they work for you. If I keep finding cool simplifying tricks I’ll keep posting 🙂

Hope you had a great hump day… downward slide into the weekend!
